Soups on!

It has been almost three years since  I became Mrs. Jacob Nichols. It has been a great three years and I have made a lot of meals. When I first had to cook meals for my adorable husband he was very patient with my burnt, bland, and some down right disgusting meals. Now I am sitting here waiting for my chicken noodle soup to finish simmering and I realize that I have become a little chef. This is not to say that I am the next Gordon Ramsay, far from it. Yet, I feel as though I have come into my own cooking. I don't fear when Jake asks for a new recipe, now I can look at it and decide if it sounds good or what I want to change.
I have a good hold on the basics to do the more complicated. I actually find that I enjoy it, while stressful at times, it is always rewarding when you are told you did a good job and the left overs are eaten instead of molding in the fridge from selective remembering.
